Angry HELP: Damaged control arm and CV Shaft popped out

So im going through all this crap just to change these stupid captive rotors. End of day two. i removed the right spindle to bring it to the mechanic to have the hub and bearing removed and a new one pressed in since 9/10 times the bearing gets messed up when you do the captive rotors. The lower ball joint nut is rusted and wont come out. So I cut the lower ball joint and theres the cut bolt stuck in the lower control arm and the arm is slightly cut into. Im thinking itd be easier and safer to replace the entire thing. Any suggestions?

Also, the cv shaft popped out. How do I get it back in?

I swear, next time I need to do any work on the front suspension Im buying a new car.

I just did some work on my daughter's '94 Accord. I tried everything possible on the lower balljoint. I torched it, used pblaster, and a 15 lb sledgehammer, swore at it. It wouldn't come out of the control arm. I ended up buying a new one from rockauto. The cv shaft should pop back in if there is no damage. I lined it up straight and had my son tap it back in. Use a block of wood over the outside spline so it doesn't get damaged.

I dont feel so bad for messing this up then. I ordered a new control arm. Just unbolt everything and replace? No tricks?

And ill try putting the CV shaft back in that way too. Thanks.

Did the axle shaft pop out from the transmission? That's Terry's fix.

Did the inboard CV joint get pulled apart, over-stretching the rubber boot & pulling the joint apart? That's more difficult.

Joint came apart. Not out of the tranny though. I had to work with it. The bearings kept falling out and it was a mess. I eventually got it all back in and the boot secured.

I've had that happen too. I was lucky enough to get it back together. It
was a different vehicle, but same part and function.
