Damn TSB, i never check those but i prolly should. Took like 10 second to find it. The reason i didn't know about the TSB is that i don't work on too many cars.

there has definately been a mileage extension on your car to 80000 miles. letter or not. if you bring it in for insufficient egr flow and it has less then 80k on it, then it gets fixed for free.

Its almost unfortunate I wouldn't drive anything but a honda, because their service blows!
You can always fix it yourself.

I have the TSB in a PDF format, but I don't know if I can post that type of file/link. It's 310KB.

Any ideas?

Thanks..

Hi guys, Im new to the forum but i gotta say im glad I joined.I have a 96accord ex. I've been trying to talk to honda people for a couple weeks now and didn't get any answers to my question which is.... EGR Valves or aka pains in my ***. I have hadmy check engine light come on a few times, taken it to my mechanic...pay 200 dollars to have him clean it out just to get it back and have the light come back on within a few months with the same code (p0401:insufficient flow) now Im at the point where i need an emmisions inspection to get my tags renewed which are now past due. Does anyone know of a quick fix or how to instruct a toyota mechanic how to clean this out? I know it requires some drilling but any addition info would be greatly appreciated. I can't afford to get this cleaned again by taking it to my regular mechanic nor do i have the time since he's gotten so backed up from the holidays.
