Default Help: Emergency Break Light won't go off.

Hi. I have a 1996 Honda Accord and just recently the emergency break light stays on even though the emercy break isn't on.
Anyone have an idea of what this means? And how I can fix it? Thanks for reading.

first off check your brake fluid level. is the weather there cold? do you leave your car parked with the e-brake on?

Your car is 11 years old, it's possible that the switch on the e-brake lever is stuck. Try setting the e-brake and releasing it a few times. Also, make sure it's nothing mechanical like sir_nasty said.

there is an updated brake master cylinder filter to keep the light off. it has to do with a pressure difference inthe reservoir.
