Exclamation Help Please! Gears arent shifting correctly??

I have a 2007 accord, 34K and I just recently encountered a problem with the car..A few weeks ago, i had the car parked on a slight hill, and i go into the car to turn it on and im ready to drive off so i put it into Drive and it goes into Neutral. I stepped on the brakes immediately being that i was on a hill so i was going in reverse, i tried to put the car back into park and then into drive again and it was still in neutral. I turned off the car and back on then it was fine..Then a few days ago, I had the car running, i was waiting outside the house on the same hill and had the car in park, then Im ready to go so i put the car into drive but again it went into neutral AND THEN realized the engine went off on me?? Again i turned off and on the car and it was fine again...now every time Im driving and switching gears, i worry that the car is in another gear which is a big safety issue....Please help!! any ideas on what my situation is???!!

Do the easy stuff first. Check the fluid level in the transmission.
