On my own car before I couldn't get it to reset even with multiple tries, then I decided to walk out of the garage back into the house; but, press one more time. It started working afterwards. Could have just been coincidence or being at a different area for it to take.

I do have another remote. I will give it a try right now! Thanks...

Redbull, should I keep trying to fix the other remote lock/unlock?

Redbull!!! I put a new battery in my backup remote and it worked!!! I cannot thank you enough for your help...tomorrow is my birthday and I just a great gift from a total stranger...there are still some nice people in this world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Ellen

I just tried the old remote again...it still doe snot work. The battery is good in the remote. Could it just be defective or can I just keep trying to get the old one to work the way you told me with the lock/unlock thing? At least I have one remote that works though!

Great! I am so glad things worked out for you.

Have a great and wonderful Birthday tomorrow!

Try this. Take the battery out and clean the remote's battery metal contacts with something like rubbing alcohol. Then try it again.

If it worked before the battery replacement, I would not believe the remote is bad.

I would just keep trying.

I will try that...

Thanks! I will let you know if it works!
