Hey dude that sounds like my dad, he owns 2 trucks one he calls his reliable POS its a '91 Mitsubishi Mighty Max no tailgate, no front bumper, and enough dents to make it look like it should have been in a demolition derby with 312k. then hes got a new Honda Ridgeline.

Another thing to help us... Let us know whether you're considering doing the work yourself. We'd answer in a different way if you want to know how to do the work, or else if you want to know what to say when you talk to a mechanic, or if you just want to vent frustration...

I've sorta become less of a Honda driver these days, but I still remember how to fix them.
Daughter bought a '92 Accord, Ihardly everdrive it.
Other daughter uses the '03 Accord, it's not old enough to need much work.
I drive a '05 Saabaru WRX after selling my '95 Integra GSR.
I get to drive my wife's '01 Saab (whenever the gas tank's empty).

22R motors are funny things.... my buddy has one of those trucks too and he's put more than one engine in it when a seal went out and sucked anti-freeze into the oil.... did they ever put out a corrected part for that?
