honda accord 97 2.2 motor

I use car-part.com to cross reference donors. Looks like only 96-97 LX, DX are donors.
Car-part.com and ebay are good sites to locate a used motor.
Don't be tempted to upgrade to later model or different engine type. We regularly get posters who've tried this w/ problems frequently occuring.
good luck

The V6 from the 95-97 accords will not fit into your engine bay. Even though the V6 and 4-cylinder accords look the same, the V6 had a bigger engine bay to accommodate the V6.
Stick with the 96/97 engine that is the LX or DX to make this pretty simple. The F22B2 engines are pretty rock solid as long as you maintain them.
Even installing a 96/97 EX engine (F22B1) with 15 more HP will require some modifications. That would involve getting a new PCM and modifying some of the wiring to get vtec to work. There are probably some other things that are different that I am forgetting.
