Honda Acoord 2003 AC not working
Hey guys i was wondering if anyone has ran into a similar problem
Honda Accord 2003 LX 4 Cylinder
The blower on the AC works and the heater works. But when i turn on (Cold) AC i do not hear the compressor or the secondary fan next to the radiator turn on. I have replaced the fuse box with a the same make and model from a friend and that did not solve the problem. I have also checked the fuses but no luck.
If i disconnect the battery and unplug the radio and plug everything back in, It will work for about 5 seconds and then turn off.
Any help would be appreciated
thank you.

need to start checking electrical, relays, wiring etc...same thing happened on mine, turned out to be a shorted clutch coil. causing the same symptoms you have. and BTW, dumping in refrigerant ***** nilly into a system without proper diagnosis is NOT recommended. whatever you end up having to fix, the system needs to be evacuated and recharged with the PROPER amount of refrigerant.

Yes, i gave it about 3 seconds of charge. I figured something was up with the AC system. I gave it to a family mechanic and he told me he got error readings from the instrument panel. Also when i turn on the high beams it does not indicate on the dashboard and the high beams with flicker from time to time. I have had no AC since September and I am not looking forward to summer.

well there are no error codes for the AC system so i dont know where exactly to start. He told me that he checked the fans on the radiator by powering them straight and they spin. But when connect to the car and i turn on the AC i dont hear the kick start noise you normally hear when the AC turns on.

If you can get or buy one (seen some for as little as ~$5) test the AC Pressure switch. Should be continuity on the "pins" of the switch, is there?
Next would be to test for voltage (~5v) on one side of the wires with the car on and the AC on.
