Default Honda DLR Problem

I have a 2016 Honda Accord. Rebuilt title. My DLRs are burnt out, what a suprise, I see a bunch of accords with burnt out DLRs. I know there is a recall, or something where the dealer replaces them because Honda found a issue with them, however in my case I have a rebuilt title. Any suggestions? The car was hit from BEHIND not the front. Not sure if that will affect anything. Already scheduled a appointment with the dealership to take a look at it. However one of the mechanics told me I may have some options left, just have to keep researching. They told me a rough estimate of how much it would cost to replace the headlights, about a 1000$. I certainly feel like I’m being ripped off. Any suggestions?

Which specific trim model do you have?

The headlights part numbers differ among the trim levels.

You can likely purchase the headlights and replace them yourself for a lot less.

The trim level is a EX.
I would buy them for cheaper however I heard and seen that a lot of them burn out, have no warranty, or the DLR is a blueish weird color. In other instances, half the DLR is very white, while the other half is a dim white.

The coupe headlights are more than double the costs of the sedan.

If you purchase from an authorized Honda dealer, Honda OEM parts are warrantied for 1 year.
