Getting further with it. I spent several hours trying to siphon gas out of the tank with no luck. I Even hooked my van's vacuum sources up to it to try and suck it out but it wouldn't stay flowing. I eventually found that there's a red maintenance connector wire coming off of the fuel pump relay. If you run this to a positive battery source it will turn the pump on. (or what's left of it XD) I disconnected the fuel filter line on the tank side and clamped some rubber fuel hose on and lead it into gas cans. Working on getting the tank straps loose and I'm about half way there so far. This things going to be heavy XD

Like I said in my previous post, most GM pumps seem to quit when the tank is full or near full. I only say that as I've had 2 Chevy Astros that I've had to drop the tank on. One got the pump replaced because it quit, the other because the hose that connects the pump to the sending unit spit horizontally, and wouldn't make fuel pressure. I've found that little hose to be a big problem on multiple GM's over the years, and today's fuels don't seem to like that hose either (causing premature failure). Just something to look at while you've got the tank down.

As for the 20 versu 43 gph deal, I thiink a lot of it might be the added length of the fuel line, and having a 454 that might require the higher out put pump. I could be wrong though.
