yeah, that cable is your throttle cable, dont adjust that because youre essentially having the gas pedal partially pushed down for you, the screw they are talking about is usually located on the upper left hand side of the throttle body. You will be looking just above and to the left of your rubber intake piping.

so i found the idle adjustment screw. im just a little hesitant to touch it, i dont want to mess anything up. and should i adjust it when the car is at operating temperature? also, can somebody please tell me what the factory reccomends for normal idle?

650- 750....your not going to mess anything up..adjust it when the car is fully warmed up...even rip on it a little....then turn the nut to the left until you just start to hear a little hiss coming from the iac....then its set perfect.

ok, just gave it a shot and it didnt do a friggin thing. i had the screw out pretty far too, the idle doesnt want to come above 500rpm. i saw that the factory says it should be 700 +- 50. is there any alternate route? may i have a bad sensor? the last thing i want to do to the car is a tune up with all Honda OE parts this time. what should i do if the problem persists? live with it? lol
