Default How can I take good care of this car

I just bought a 1998 Accord Lx, 5 speed manual transmission, 2.3L, 4 door with about 150 000 miles on it (245 000 km). The timing belt was changed at 87 000 miles (140 000km). The car runs great, the mechanic told me that a wheel bearing was going, and the 2 front lower ball joints need to be replaced soon, and there is a small leak in the power steering hose. Well I just wanted to know if anyone has any advice how i can take good care of this car, I dont know what maintenace was done on it, so is there anything i should do besides changing the engine oil (and what oil do you recommend). Any advice or tips would be much appreciated. thanks!

As far as oil goes just use a reputable company and run either 10w30 or 10w40. I personally prefer mobil 1 but it can be kinda spendy. As for maintence I would check the air filter and see if it's clean (take it out and inspect it) or if it needs to be replaced. Change the spark plugs (use NGK plugs only) since those are cheap and then get the front end work repaired or do it yourself. Then just regular oil change intervals every 3000 miles and do the timing belt/water pump/seals at around 180,000 miles. If you have a little extra money I'd do the plug wires, cap and rotor when you do the spark plugs too.
