Hi, I have a '96 2.2 V Tec. Is the valve adjustment proceedure different on V Tec engines ? Cheers Dave
Nope, no difference.
Do the H-series VTEC engines have the adjusters down where you can't reach them like the B18C I had? On that, you couldn't reach down easily with a wrench. I used a deep socket, held in a pair of ViseGrips, & stick a screwdriver down thru the middle of the socket.

If you don't use HondaBond on the spark plug holes, will it leak? I know that on my mom's accord there is oil in one of the spark plug holes. I changed all the gaskets and the leak was still there. I thought that valve cover might be cracked, but i didn't use any Honda Bond on the gasket.
There is another set of seals in there that leak; #15 in the attached pic, the rocker assy needs to be removed.

My only question is when Desert says to put Honda Bond "on the curved part of the valve cover gasket" does he mean the strange curved things on the ends of the valve cover or on each of the 4 corners or both???? Please see pic of gasket:

The place where the gasket is most likely to leak (needs HondaBond) is the sharp corner where the gasket going over the camshaft joins the flat horizontal part of the gasket. Just to either side of the arrows (4 points).

Inever actually put the hondabond on the gasket, but use a small screwdriver to put the little hondabond blob in the corners of the surface to meet the areas I've marked [the corners of the humps] I'm a Hondabond Artist
If you put it on the gasket you can wipe it off as you slip the valve cover into place.
