In a word, yes. My m3 shows dirt a lot quicker than my white accord.
Usually they can be buffed out with a good wax. How bad?

My car gets dirty fast, is it because it is a Black color?
also what are the cheapest ways to get rid of minor scratches?

My car is black also. Dust and rain spots have always been an issue. My main complaint about a black car is the heat build-up during the summer. Yikes![:-] I can leave the car in the sun for 5 minutes, and it's too hot to get into when I come back. Of course, the 1996 black coupe's were outfitted with a gray interior vs. beige. Adds to the heat, but much easier to keep clean.
I started using an aluminum covered sun-blocker in the windshield this year. I would highly recommend - definitely keeps the car interior almost tolerable, i.e. only need a short wait with the doors open to get in.
Will probably try a white car next.
