Idle Stall and Stuck IACV Bolt problems
#12
As PA said, get the PCV hose, wire to the IAC out of the way. From the drivers side, a pair of 6 inch vise grip pliers should fit in. Once out, install a new bolt.
Are/were you using 1/4 drive tools? The 1/4 10mm, 1/4 12mm six point sockets are my most common used tools I have.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Wow! The craftsman bolt-out thing worked like a charm (at the cost of 20 bucks)! The bolt turned easily the first I used it.
Ok now im seeing the screen on the IACV. Currently its really black. Sprayed WD-40 on it and waited and its still black. Should I expect it to turn silvery or what? I saw somewhere that it shouldnt be black
Thanks!

the Craftsman Bolt Out set works wonders. i have a set myself. once the bolt is out you can't reuse it like the others have said. if the end is rounded enough now so a wrench won't you will most likely need to use the bolt out set.
another tip with the PCV hose is you can use a flat tip screwdriver. it has worked for me before. sometimes using pliers squeezing the end together won't let the hose come off if it's on that tight. also using silicone helps with hoses.
