Installing Keyless entry, Anti-theft, and Remote start on a 1997 LX
Hi, I ordered this system a few weeks ago and I have been working on installing it.
CrimeStopper SP-302 2-Way Alarm Paging & Keyless Entry Vehicle Security System - Newegg.com
This is the wiring diagram I have been using
Car Alarm and Remote Car Starter Wiring Diagram ? 1997 Honda Accord
I have several concerns regarding the wiring.
Here is the installation guide from my alarm system

I would really appreciate any help, I'm beginning to get really confused here
Thanks an advance!

I have several concerns regarding the wiring.
- This diagram references a factory alarm harness, I have no factory alarm and to my understanding 5th generation Accords don't have factory alarms
- This diagram shows a 2nd ignition wire while some don't. I see the wire referenced but I have yet to test it. Is it necessary to connect this to my remote start? Do I connect both ignition wires to the ignition wire on my alarm module? How would it change the wiring in a starter kill relay?
- My (Crimestopper SP-302) alarm has no wire or input for the tachometer wire. Is this normal? How does it know that the car is on?

I don't see the reference in the 97 diagram link.
I am not a fan of installing this type of system on any car. If you must install, make sure you locate all the wires in the car and where they go on your control unit before you start splicing into the harness.
