The Bomz are pretty decent but look for one of the intakes with a cone filter in the end instead of it being flat... Lightshow has an e-bay one, I'm buying one... Go for it

yea, those ebay 30 buck header are good for couple months lol, what kind of car and mods are we talking about? or just header in general? if just basic bolt on stuff, i think dc is decent enough, but if you do some internal mods, HYTECH, RMF, SMSP headers are the one you want to look into...although they cost hella crazy

Serious headers right there. Nice build on the H22a. Once the f22a blows thats the next step. Did you do your own engine drop?

So do any of you guys running non-turbo actually get any "performance" gains running larger intake(HOSES/FILTERS) and Header/Exhaust Pipes?? I figure that the car can only suck in so much air because of the size of the actual intake manifold, and only put out so much exhaust flow because of the size of the exhaust ports.

I'm not against them at all, I would actually put a larger exhaust and filter/pipe on my intake if it would actually give me some more power and fuel economy.

Anyone?

B.

intake pipe 3', header DC or Greddy should be ok, and exhaust 2.5' would be ideally good for basic bolt on, if you putting too big exhaust pipe, u might loose power instead of gaining, plus you wont gain alot of power if you dun do internal work, and for fuel economy, it gonna be suck...more power = more gas being used

more power = more gas being used
The more you press the gas pedal down the more gas you're going to use. Power just means you don't have to press the gas pedal as much, so you can actually get better gas mileage.

The stock exhaust on my SE looks to be about 2" anyway, why would I want it bigger? It's got plenty of pulling power with the stock setup of the F22A6. If anything, I'd be pressing the gas more just to make it louder and defeat the whole purpose for driving my honda in the first place: gas mileage/economy at 80+ mph

ahh screw it. I'll quit hijacking this thread.

keep exaust small and dont put anything between the cat and ur tip... u have to keep back pressure from the cat for low end and u have to keep all that air HOT and moving so that it stays expanded and doesent slow down the exaust coming into the pipe... go with DC sport and make sure they are equal length... or u will have weak cylinders... and yes a car is all about pumpin air... u cant do that ur gunna slow down... thats why people port and polish there plenums and heads and bore/upgrade there TB's preferably all of these... then u get into cooler air and running boost... lets see... what else... o yeh V-tec controler helps make ur cam more radical at lower rpms that helps alot.... there are actualy gas bonuses to intakes headers and so on... the more air ur engine flows the better it runs and u get a better A/F ratio... all that means u get to get many more of those expensive little MPG
