I was looking on my profile on how to change my birthdate and I am not seeing it? Where should I be looking? Since you're a "supermoderator" could you possibly update it for me? My birthday is 1-29-1981.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Ok so tonight I went out to start the car and it took 5 times for it to finally fire. The battery is good but it's almost like the air/fuel mixture wasn't matching up. My car seems to do this when it sits for a while and the temps are below freezing. Today since it snowed and the temps are super freezing the car did not like it at all.
I am not throwing a CEL but from what I'm reading the symptoms are sign of a faulty iacv. Also when I first built the car I switched the iacv plug with the iat sensor. So I assuming I may have damaged the iacv. What does everyone think... IACV?

If the starter is spinning the engine with the correct speed and you have no CEL....my "guess" would be the ECT. It "tells" the ECU how cold the engine is so that the ECU can adjust air/fuel and timing (?) to some degree. Its the two pin sensor on the end of the cyl head under the dist.
Again, this is a pure guess but I have seen it before.

Ahh yes, that definitely makes sense. I didn't even think about the ECT. After the car warms up, it will then start just fine. It's worth a trip to the junkyard to at least swap it out and see if the issue improves. If I unplug it the sensor would that still allow the car to start? Just curious if unplugging it will allow it to at least start the car when it's not wanting to fire over.

If you unplug the ECT the ECU will trip and just use a default value....prob won't help as I'd bet it is a "middle of the road" value.
Do you still have the old motor, you could grab it.
The ECT changes resistance with temp......so you can test it.

Only "Admin's" can change that in your profile.....PM Ang and he can change it....I guess I can only ban you or a few other things

Had a nice day. Got my taxes done by my accountant and found out I am getting a nice return so can't beat that! Also got to see my parents and spent the rest of the day with the girlfriend. Pops also picked me up a nice set of impact sockets for an impact gun I got a while ago.
On the down side I believe the Accord is burning oil. I've put 1500 miles on since the new oil change (change #2) and I seem to have lost maybe a 1/4 of a quart, maybe a little more. Kinda bums me out. I have no leaks, it's definitely blowing it out the tail pipe Motor runs great but burns.

Glad you had a good time.
For the oil, IMHO 1/4 quart in 1500 isn't that bad....don't get down on the poor ole fella just yet.
Check for signs of leaks. I'm sure you have, and you state that, but I have to say it. Clean or replace the poor pcv if you haven't already.
Are you still seeing any blue smoke at start up on cold mornings?
