Oh I used to have a 82 Rabbit & 86 Jetta GLi. I kinda liked them, but whatever car you can name there's SOMETHING goofy about it. Then again, I also used to drive a '67 type-3.

So now that my car is running 100% I am now going to show everyone all the picture I took during the engine swap.
I started the swap 5 weeks ago, but was only able to work on the car on the weekends. Two of the weekends were shot due to Sandy hitting where I lived hard. I had the car parked at my buddies place and he lost power for over 2 weeks. But after many hours, a lot of dirty hands, a little brake kleen in the eye, and 2 swapped sensor plugs, Hannah the Honda runs incredibly well. I went out this evening with my girl and put over 50 miles on her. 50% highway, 50% around town. The car ran smooth as butter. Even the a/c blows cold as ice. The heat in the car, well WOW, it's HOT. Other than some cosmetic things, the car is solid as a rock.
Please enjoy all the pictures below. I will be adding more tomorrow and a video of her running.
Hauling Her To Be Fixed
The Old Blown Motor
Emptied & Ready For a Fresh F22B1
Lowering In The Fresh F22B1
The Nice & Fresh F22B1 (115K miles)

Love that type-3, very cool! And don't get my wrong. I love my GTI, has 208K, running factory motor and tranny. It is an absolute beast. However, small things are always breaking. She's a nickel and dimer.

Ok, INCREDIBLE news !!! The car is now running 100%. The IAC and the IAT plugs were in fact switched. I switched those, reset the car and it runs incredibly. Check engine is gone!! WOW is all I have to say. The car sounds incredible! I am beyond excited and thank for all of you here on this forum. A very big THANK YOU!!!
I will follow up later today with a video of her running. Thanks again everyone.

Updated Pix & Vid
As promised here is a video of Hannah all done!
Enjoy!!
Also, maybe someone out there can tell me how to get the transmission dust shield back on??? I can only get the front side of the duster cover to line up, the back side where the other 2 bolts go I cannot, for the love of God, get to sit up in there. What am I doing wrong?? I was able to wedge it in and get 1 bolt in and its in place but I'd like to have it in the right way. Also, if anyone has a good IAT sensor, I'd be willing to purchase it. I know for a fact mine got burnt yesterday and isnt working 100%. I took it out today and it def. looks burnt due to my hooking the IACV and the IAT backwards.
Enjoy!!

Well the CEL is not on so I am assuming it is working. BUt, what makes me think it may be damaged slightly is because on a cold start the car idle high, which is normal. Then after about a minute the car starts to idle down to 1100, then will jump back up to 2000 rpm's, then make its way down to normal idle at around 750 or so. But even once the car is warmed up, when I hit the gas and take my foot off the rpms drop to normal idle rpm's then will go up to 1100 for a split second, then drop to normal idle rpm again. Maybe this is normal in a Honda, I am not sure...

Does my car need to re-learn its fuel to air ratio and what not? I know in my 98 GTI if I unplug the battery I need to start my car and let it idle for 5 minutes without touching the throttle in order the ECU to re-learn everything.
