Localized ATF leak when driving long distances '03 EX
#12
Update:
I cleaned the affected areas with brake cleaner, and drove it around the block for a few minutes. The Maint Req'd light flashed three times when I first turned it on, but stayed off for the rest of the drive.
Afterwards, I checked underneath and found that the only leaking was coming from this spot (back of the transmission box, near the line but NOT from the line itself. You can barely see it but it looks like it's coming from a small, 10 mm(?) bolt next to the line.)

Looks like if you removed those 3 bolts and pulled the cable assy. down, where it attaches to the trans is called the shift selector, that is where I thing the leak is coming from. Part F in your diagram. Gotta pull that cover B as well.

Thank you! I think we're starting to get somewhere. I'm *assuming* that this should be done with trans fluid drained just so there isn't a huge mess?
Besides the drain bolt for fluid changes, I don't feel comfortable touching things that have to do with the transmission. So once I move, I'll take it to the shop for them to at least inspect it.
