Location immobilizer chip ECU
#2
While I have no idea where the "chip" is for your car (I rather doubt it is a single chip), I'm pretty sure if you remove the immobilizer functionality you will not be able to start and operate your car.

Well, there's a chip in your key, a reader very close to the key lock assembly, and the rest of the immobilizer circuit in the ECU. Any of those replaced by non-matching parts will cause the engine to not run.

The immobilizer chip should be near the ignition keyhole mounted on the ignition. This part only transmits the signal from the key to the ECU verifying you have the correct key. Meaning the part is plug and play and has no bearing on if the car starts or not unless the part is missing or bad.
