Looking at used 08-09 Accords, I understand they have some brake problems?
Apparently there is an issue with the brakes on these models. I read about excessive brake wear and even warping? I also read that the brake parts on these models have been discontinued by Honda.
Is there any way to fix this issue or...? Do the redesigned 2011-2012 brakes fit on 2008-2010 Accords? What will a complete fix cost me? Can I do it myself?
Thanks for any help.

The original OEM rear brake pads were known to wear a little fast. Honda came out with a technical service bulletin (a year or two ago) for new OEM rear brake pads and to check and switch if necessary, the upper and lower caliper slide pins (pin A and pin B).
The front brakes may have shuddering during high speed braking (like any other Honda) due to build-up on the rotor or warping. Solution was to resurface rotor or replace. However, the front brake pads last a long time (even though Honda also revised the brake pads). Some people seen close to 100K miles on the original front pads. Generally, there is no wear problem on the front brakes.
Changing brake pads and rotors are relatively easy on the 8th gen Accords. The 2011-2012 Accord uses the same revised pads as the 2008-2010. I believe the rear caliper was revised for the latest Accords; however, it is not worth swapping the calipers, even though they would bolt right up.
