Loose Backseat in 2007 4-door Accord
Hi, All,
My backseat, driver side, has sprung up, enough so the cushion stuffing shows. With a passenger sitting on it, it returns to normal level. It does not move forward or backward, and the other side is fine.
Before posting, I've searched and found this thread
https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...ight=back+seat
I'm not certain if that's the proper schematic for a 2007 4-door Accord, and since I don't want to remove the seat--I just want to secure it--I don't know where to start.
Any help would be much appreciated, and I did search "back seat" before posting here,
Jake

That schematic is helpful, many thanks. It doesn't show exactly how the actual seat is fastened to its base, though. How strange to think the frame would have bent. My fifteen-year-old is practically the only one back there, and she's skinny and always on the other side.
Very confusing,
Jake
Edit: Ah, I see. Hadn't realized that the schematic shows the actual rear seat twice, to delineate the cushions and the bolts.

Actually I think it's alternate seats, leather vs. cloth. That picture covers different versions of the car.
You'll see a bolt #30 located towards the left side of the car. Push your hand between the seat back & base, then get a socket & extension in there. With that bolt removed, you can slide the seat-base forwards & unhook the front edge.

Okay, I understand. I see that #30 bolt. I'm without real tools, so will have to track down a socket and extension. I'll post back when I free the seat.
Now that I'm on the right page, so to speak, I can see how the seat is attached. In real life, I find three metal hooks, sealed semi-circles, spaced equally at the edge of the seat's back. Do you know what purpose they serve, or are they simply handles to hold when pulling out the seat?
Thank you for your assistance,
Jake
