Default loss of indicators after stereo installation

I recently installed a kenwood stereo in my 1998 Accord and have found i've no indicators. The fuse is fine. After removing the original kenwood stereo and attaching the relavant wires from my new harness, i found i had two remaining wires - red/black (dimmer) which i didn't bother connecting, and one red wire. Does anyone know what this one is for, and whether it could affect my indicators?

Default RE: loss of indicators after stereo installation

Ummm.... normally the red wire is the (+) 12volt Ignition switch wire which turns on your stereo... the dimmer you dont really need... all that does is dim the stereos light when you turn your headlights on so that its not blinding you ..lol but yea that ignition switch wire is seriously needed
