i dont know to sound like a jerk or anything becuase i appreciate your guys' help but this was happening BEFORE i put in my intake and only at a certain rpm so i don;'t think it's the sound of the intake. whistling was a bad description. chirp would be a better word for it.

Verify that you have all of your fluids, check and rule out what has been suggested, then post back.

perhaps one night when you were asleep someone broke into your car and installed a turbo charger? that would give it quite the whistling noise.

maybe a video of said noise would help us diagnose it

i just got my transmission fluid and oil changed and everything checked so that's not it. i tried to take a video on my phone but you couldnt here it when i tried to play it. it's not a noise from a belt where it's more on a beat it's a constant noise that doesnt stop unless i change the rpm's.

and to tippman- it has about 96,000 on it.

Does -everything checked- include power steering fluid? Coolant? Make a checklist with ALL of the recommendations and go through each and every one to rule it out.

ORIGINAL: falkore24

Does -everything checked- include power steering fluid?
I KEEP FORGETTING TO COME BACK AND REPORT

So earlier falkore said something about the noise being from the power steering pump. It reminded me that my power steering fluid was a little below the threshold.

This was my problem.

That crazy squealing (that only happened in drive when I wasn't moving) was due to a low power steering fluid.

I felt like such an idiot for not eliminating that as a possibility in the first place!

StevenB17: did you figure out the cause of the squeal?

I just bought an older Accord and it makes the same squeal noise when the gas pedal is at the right point during acceleration. I've ruled out the air intake and belts. Not sure what else it could be.
