lower radiator hose removal and other problems
2004
Honda Accord Ex-l 4 cyl . I am a new member, having trouble removing lower radiator hose. Also having trouble removing lower support bracket on intake manifold. Last problem I am having concerns disconnecting throttle cable and cruise control cable from throttle body linkage.
Am I doing right using the forum? If not, please correct me.
Thank you

Just curious, what are you trying to do? Replace your Accord intake manifold with one from an Acura TSX? There are guides on the internet regarding the intake manifold swap.
Some of the newer Hondas have new quick connects for the cooling hoses where you just pull the clip by hand and just disconnect the hose. I haven't checked whether your year have those. Are you referring to the "quick connects" or are you having trouble reaching a connector?

Quassu,
In order to access the lower radiator hose, ensure that you have performed the following steps:
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the front bulkhead cover.
3. If equipped with an automatic transaxle, remove the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler hoses (A/T). Plug the ATF cooler hoses and lines.
You should be able to remove the hose clips with a small racheting wrench, and then the lower as well as the upper radiator hose should come off. The lower radiator hose is ref #8 and the clips are ref #11 in this diagram:

For the lower radiator hose removal, drain the coolant. You can remove the lower engine plastic splash shield if you can't easily reach the hose clamp at the bottom of the radiator. The lower clamp can be removed by using a pair of pliers. The other end of the lower radiator hose that attaches to the thermostat housing has the traditional Honda hose clamp, attached to the new style quick connector (see image). You can just pull the lock clip from the quick connect and then wiggle the hose off the thermostat housing. The image is from an 8th gen Accord; but, is essentially the same engine as the 7th gen Accord. (Alternately, you can also just remove the traditional Honda hose clamp without removing the quick connector.)
This link shows the Acura TSX intake manifold swap, which includes instructions on getting to the lower support bracket. If you are doing the swap, they did not disconnect the cables from the throttle body linkage.
