Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust-PLEASE READ
Before rolling your eye's, I did my homework researching pros and cons from the archives. When a persons buys one those setups is that a resonator on the main pipe? The reason I ask is because over the weekend I had a good muffler shop make me a cat-back exhaust system with Maganaflow mufflers. But the new sound is little a too deep for my taste. So I was wondering if a small resonator in-line like the factory set-up would change the deep tone? Just wondering because of the way the aftermarket cat-backs look i.e.resonator. Thanks in advance for all replys!

I don't know...but I would think that the pipe/muff combo would have a tone like a musical instrument (sax, tuba, trombone) the tone you are going to get is what it makes. With an instrument, valves and lengthening the tube will change the pitch; Just thinking out loud. I wanted an exhaust but in California you have to have a CARB (California Air Resources Board) Sticker, and the sticker is placed under the hood. I haven't heard of and checkpoints for smog, but you can get stopped (here) there is a possibility "they" can make you take it off. I've heard stories about guys having to take off headers or a big fine.
