Maintenance Minder Subitems 2 and 3
I have a 2006 Honda Accord SE with approximately 38,000 miles on it. I have been following the maintenance minder for oil changes, etc. Does anyone know approximately how often subitems 2 (replace air cleaner element and dust and pollen filter, inspect drive belt) and 3 (replace transmission fluid) appear on the maintenance minder system (normal driving conditions)? I just want to make sure I haven't missed it already. Thanks for your help.

The manual says to replace the air cleaner element every 15,000 if you drive in dusty conditions. It also says to replace the dust and pollen filter every 15K if you drive in urban areas with high concentrations of soot. It does not give mileage for normal driving conditions, however.
I know that the mileage will probably differ slightly for each car depending on how the car is driven--I'm just looking for a rough estimate. Thanks.

Hmm...that's weird. I just assumed it would be in there (I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything.)
The normal period for "normal driving conditions" I'm pretty sure is 30k miles for air filter.
As far as belt checking, I'd do it when I changed my oil. (check for cracks and make sure belt(s) is not loose)
Trans fluid is likely at 30k intervals as well.

No, my 2007 Civic doesn't give mileage, it just says to do that whenever #2 or #3 comes up on the maintenance-minder.
On that Civic, #2 just came up at about 22k miles. I haven't seen #3 yet. But I don't know if that stuff is programmed the same way for Civic vs. Accord.
My 2003 Accord calls for engine air filter every 30k miles (doesn't have the maintenance-minder). I think yours has the same filter, so I would think it should have already called for #2. OTOH, the tranny oil intervals were stupid long. Like maybe 100k miles even for the automatic. If I had an auto, I wouldn't wait anywhere near that long.

It was super easy on my 2003. Probably the same...
Open the glovebox & empty it out.
Unhook the little spring/damper that catches the box.
Maybe have to press the sides of the glovebox to unhook it, allowing it to hinge way WAY down.
Behind the glovebox is a slot that un-clips to open. Pull the filter out.
