Maintenance Schedule
Hi All,
I just purchased a 2009 Honda Accord LX-P and I love it.
I understand that the onboard computer will let me know exactly when maintenance is required. However, I'm curious to know what the scheduled maintenance requirements are but I can't seem to find this information. For example, how often do I rotate the tires, change the timing belt, etc.
I apologize if this question has already been answered but I wasn't able to find what I am looking for by using the forum search tool.
Thank you in advance,
Bob

It should all be in the owners manual. Tires are usually rotated every other oil change and the timing belt likely has a service interval of 105,000 miles.
Double check and see if it is indeed a belt or a chain... I can't remember what the K series I4 has... Pretty sure the V6 has a timing belt

On my Civic, that information is in one of the other booklets, in the same packet with the owner's manual. Maintenance records or something like that.
When the maintenance indicator comes on, it'll say A or B, along with possibly a number.
"A" means change oil.
"B" means change oil and oil filter. (Yeah, like I'm gonna leave the old filter on...?)
1, 2, 3, etc. indicate all the other stuff as listed in your booklet. Like tire rotations, air filters, etc.
If you have a 4-cylinder engine, it has a timing chain that doesn't get changed. I think the V-6 still has a timing belt.
