Malfunction Indicator Light
2003 Accord Coupe, V6, automatic,102K
Malfunction Light went on Monday after a fill-up. Checked gas cap, it was tight, but re-tightened it.
Tuesday-light still on. Went to AutoZone. Troubleshooting P0506 / OEM Brand OBDII
Definition:
IAC circuit condition or idle speed Higher/Lower than expected, engine speed is not in its expected range.
No symptoms of any problem. Timing belts replaced last month.
This morning the light went off by itself. Any thoughts please?
Thank you for your time and consideration.

RE: Malfunction Indicator Light
Beware of general information from searching around here.
I think your 2003 V-6 has a motorized throttle, & does NOT have an IAC-valve. So a lot of the threads about idle control will not apply.

Check that your air filter isn't clogged up.
Pull intake tube from throttle body. Check that the throttle plate isn't covered with carbon buildup. If it is, clean with throttle body cleaner around the bore and the throttle plate (both sides). An old toothbrush is helpful to remove most of the buildup. Wipe out dissolved sludge with a towel.
