Mirror Repair
1st post - be gentle.
Niece's 98 EX has a driver's side mirror that won't hold the glass in place (wobbles with you close the door, hit a bump, etc.)
I have taken it off and there are two rings with matching fingers that snap together. One of the rings has a broken finger. IIRC, it was on the part inside the housing. I tried glue, but it didn't work. She's called the regular parts places and they all say OEM or junk yard.
The ring in the housing seems to be held in place by 1 screw. Can I not buy that piece somewhere?
I did a search and can find nothing about this on the forum, but my searches are never great. Sorry if this is a FAQ I couldn't find; just point me to another thread if there is already an answer.

RE: Mirror Repair
Seems a shame but those parts are not available.
I would suggest going to a junkyard and finding parts to install or repaint the new item and replace your broken unit. You can find used parts near you using car-part.com w/ your zipcode location
good luck
