my 99 accord is stalling....need help
#11
i think i might be able to help
i am the owner of a 98 accord and had this mispleasure of experiencing stalling on my automatic 2.3l ex. it didnt matter if i was driving in town or on the highway, at 40km/hr or at cruising speeds on the highway. I too had the same issues when it stalled (lights would stay on and radio kept playing)if this is what your experiencing, check to see if you have any corrosion on your battery terminals. if so, take a stainless steel brush and clear it off.
I noticed that every time my car would stall, i'd have a buildup of corrosion around my battery terminals and when i would brush them off, it wouldnt stall for another 300kms or so until the buildup came back again. If this endsup being the issue run out to canadian tire or any autozone or wherever you buy your car parts and ask for some dialectic grease. It doesnt cost much and once applied should clear your problem right up. (it did for me) and for your p0420 code, its probly your downstream 02 sensor. i just replaced mine a few wks ago (50$ on ebay denso) and it took care of that issue.
if anything feel free to email me. good luck with everything!

Please don't put your email in clear text; its a SPAM magnet for the whole site.
