Need Duplicate Keys

Default Need Duplicate Keys

Do I have to go to a Honda dealer to get the duplicate keys with remote? if yes, how much are they?

Check some locksmiths first. Some will have the very same programer the dealer uses. That will save you at least half of what the dealer would charge. Most people think the dealer is the only one who can do that.

I will get the remote with it too?
I wonder if I am covered on this. I do have Triple AAA and it has Locksmith covering up to $100

the thought of a locksmith having the immobilizer programming tool is kinda scary.............05 car keys might be dealer only item

Why is it scary? What does a immobilizer system do?
Triple AAA also can make a credit card like key just incase the gets locked out.

Well its $157 to replace the keys and to get programmed.
That goes for lost keys also.

An immobilizer is a security feature on your car.

Your key puts out a signal. If the car does not recognize that signal from the key, it will not start.

If that quote was from a dealership, call a lock smith to get a quote.
