1998 Honda Accord:

Today I took off my needles to paint them a different color. took the needle apart,removed the old paint. painted the underside of the new ones and glued them back together,just like i saw on a previous forum. i went to put the needles back on and am having so many issues its not funny. the tach. reads at least 750 below what it should, the sped. doesnt work. i have no idea if the gas gauge is working and the temp gauge reads lower as well. any help is greatly appreciated.
