Default Need Help ON A 2000 Accord

A month ago, my friend towed her car to my house cause her radiator blew up.i checked to see if coolant had mix with oil in the motor, there was no coolant was mixed with oil. I jus replaced the radiator & cap, thermostat, upper and lower radiator hose and performed a service and added oil a little above the full line. After completing it, drove the car to work and home as a test drive. vehicle was running good with no leaks.

Yesterday, she called me saying her radiator cap popped open and overheated while she was in traffic going to the pro bowl. she pulled over and added coolant/water the 1st time, it was okay for a little while then over heated again. She Added another bottle of coolant and water, she said its fine and didn't over heat when she went home. she checked her oil and she said her oil was low and she had to add 2 qrts of oil. i asked her if anyone has touched the car after i had fixed it, she said no.

all i want to know, what else could be wrong with this car? i wonder how did the radiator cap jus all of a sudden popped open? what do i need to check? i know i have to check for leaks and do a pressure test. Do you folks think it has a blown head gasket or a bad water pump? Let me know. Thanks Guys.

It could be a head gasket problem.

I would start by looking on all sides of the engine for oil. She may just have an oil leak.

I would pressure test the radiator to see if it can hold about 16 psi.

And before getting too far, we need to know whether it's a 4-cyl or V-6.
