New member desperately needing help
I have a 95 Honda Accord EX 2.2L 4cyl automatic transmission. The tranny is done for and I can't find any that I can afford, HOWEVER, I've heard that different Honda transmissions will fit my accord so my question is:
What transmissions (year/model/etc) can be put into my 95 accord ex 2.2l 4cyl automatic car?
I've been carless for almost a year now and desperately need help finding out how to fix my car!
Thank you.

no you are streaching my memory...g22, rice-correct me here.
Prelude, year and that I think comes into play. Civic, 99% sure the block mount is different so "no".
Strange there is no Honda Accord tranny's from 90 to 97 to be had?

Ebay has 55 AT's that match your vehicle (I did not look at all of them). Some good used parts in $300-$500 range + shipping.
Car-part.com shows over 30 pages of used AT's.
I found good used parts (engine) locally in Houston area by locating part on car-part.com, calling yard to confirm availability, visiting yard to see and inspect the part and yard procedures. For instance, if part is still sitting in car outside or worse stored outside under a car hood, I rated lower than a pulled part stored on a pallet inside. Insurance was available to garuntee labor for installation if part fails, about $200 in 2006. Yard should provide a "working used part" w/i the price quoted.
I don't think you can get well for < $1500 all in, unless you DIY the AT installation. From other's description, this is not a trivial job, but mainly a lot of labor. Problem for most DiY'rs is finding enough time to do the job.
good luck
