Newbee w/2006 Tranny Question
First off thank you guys/gals so much for having a fourm like this, I hope you can help me out I have a 2006 honda accord with 37,000 miles on it. It does have the V-6 with a auto tranny.
I have noticed a loud CLICK when I shift the car into reverse, you can do it from park at it will still do it or you can do it from drive and it will do it. It is getting what seems to be louder or it could be that I just now notice it and listen for it. If anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to hear them. Thanks for you help.

Open the hood & watch while someone shifts it into gear (holding the brake of course...)
Watch for movement of the whole engine. 37k miles is way too early for engine mounts to go bad, but it's real easy to check.
At least, you can try to pinpoint the location of the sound.
- Axles? Loose inboard CV joints?
- Internal tranny sounds? (I hope not)
- Brake calipers?
My 2007 Civic has a powertrain warranty longer than the 36k mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, so check YOUR warranty booklet. Maybe still under warranty?
