Noise from under valve cover. $450 for auto shop to check, help!

If your cam was broken your car wouldn't run... Though I suppose in theory the cam lobes could have eroded or something requiring them to be replaced. Never heard of that happening on an Accord, though.

So now today, i went to start my car and i turned the key, and nothing, not any sound. It did this a few times and then it started. What is going on?!? also i just got a new battery last week

I'd double check the battery connections to be sure they are clena and tight. With the battery replacement they might not have tightened all the way.

If noise stops when engine warms, leave it alone. If noise persists w/ fully warmed engine, there is a case for adjustment. Most likely one valve is loose.

heck, my latest accord has the occasional valve click noise when warm.
I'm not going to do anything about it. 201,000.

My feeling is that adjusting the valves is pretty easy DIY. Measuring but not adjusting is even easier. So it's easy to check if only to verify that they're OK.
