Default obdII problem?

The other day i installed a clifford smart start on my 09 ex-l. As soon as i started my car after the install my vsa light and a triangle with an ! Came on as well. I didnt get a chance to put a scanner on it but planned on it. A few days later i installed my ram air intake and the cel came on. I put a large snap on scanner on it and it said that it could not communicate with the car. When i put a basic code reader on it, it said no faultz present. So basically some how my car has all of these lights on it and i cant hook any scanner up to the dtc port. Can someone please help give me some guidance on what may be the cause? Could i have tapped into a wire on the remote start that is causing the port to not read? I checked the fuse and it isnt blown. Any advice would be beyond greatly appreciated. Every time i start my car my eyes go straight to those lights and they are driving me crazy. Please help. Thanks in advance

Now you are in the situation where the problem could be the add-on(s) or the wiring.

Is there a quick way to disable the remote start to see if that fixes the problem?

Check around your new intake to see if you left a ground wire disconnected or damaged some other wiring.
