Default Oil dripping from from filter on 2010 I4. LX

I'm thinking of buying a 2010 LX. During the inspection today, I noticed that the oil was a bit low. I then noticed that the oil filter was covered in oil. There were no oil stains anywhere else. I cleaned the oil from the filter and hand tightened it a bit more. Next, I did the test drive and then checked the filter again. There was a little new oil on the bottom of the filter.
I'm thinking this will most likely be fixed by just an oil filter change and making sure the mounting surface is clean. I thought I'd check on here to see if I should be more concerned about it, or if there are any common problems in that area.

The entire (or partial) gasket from the previous filter remained and is causing a leak, like you mentioned. There are some o-rings on the filter housing that could be a problem. You'll have to inspect further to figure out the issue.
