Default Oil on spark plug

I have some oil on my spark plugs, and I know that some gaskets and seals need to be replaced, but I'm not sure which one. I know that the oil leak could be stemming from possibly my lower rocker arm seals or my upper plug seals. I also noticed some oil right outside the front left of my valve cover. Could somebody tell me what signs to look for to determine which one of the two (or possibly both) locations that the oil could be leaking from and instructions on how to change the seals from both locations? Also, what are the negative effects of having oil on the spark plug besides losing oil?

buy a valve cover gasket kit, will solve your oil on your plugs(assuming its the upper seal) and your leaking valve cover

First, get a Fel-Pro valve cover gasket set, comes with the VC gasket and 4 upper plug gaskets. If they're still oil, replaces the lower spark gaskets. Still oil, ask for more help.

What's so special about Fel-Pro compared to other brands?

I replaced my VC gasket and the 4 upper plug seals a few months ago. No more oil on the plugs and a pretty easy job. Do not tighten the VC bolts too much though.

They're known as quality gaskets, second best to OEM.

If oil is on ceramic insulator (top plugs) then replace the plugs gasket, if oil is on plugs thread (bottom plugs) then replace the valve seal. CMIIW.
