Default possible to fix a worn out wiper motor?

Hi I'm new to the forum. I do have a question if anyone is possibly able to tell me. My wiper motor on my '03 Accord still works, but I think its gotten to a point of being worn out. Everytime I use the wipers, they hit both the cowl and the side of the windshield on the driver's side on every sweep. Is it possible to fix it, like tighten up some sort of slack? Or do I just have to get a new one?

I have heard of this problem before, but don't know of any solution. Maybe if you did a search of the forum, you would find someone who's solved the problem. If you haven't had the wiper motor recall done yet, you could bring it in for that, and mention the sweep issue to them. All I can think of trying is cleaning the windshield real good. If the windshield has a little oil from the road on it, the wipers could slide a little too easy. Just guessing.

There's cranks & pushrods (#10 & 11) that operate the wipers. When the bushings in those get worn & have way too much clearance, the wiper can throw too far in both directions. You'll have to take a look & figure out what's loose.

Open the hood and then try washers nozzles. If they work ok the dealer pinched em somewhere. OR slowly close the hood and see where its pinched. Also when hood is open have someone else activate em and watch for leaks near drivers side hood hinge.
