p1362, p1382 no sart condition HELP
i have a 98 accord 2.3 ex. died while driving. will no restart. scanner shows p1362 no signal, p1382 no signal. also the security key light was flashing when engine was dying.
Have good fuel pressure, replaced the TDC, crank sensors, and replaced the distributor, timing belts while in there. good compression. still no start, no spark.. all connections are clean corrosion free all the way to the ecm. ANY IDEAS THAT I MIGHT HAVE MISSED.
I also cleared the codes, and while crankiing the engine the same codes reappeared. still no spark. I thought the key code might have been an issue, but since there is good fuel pressure, thats out.

I would check fuses protecting the PCM.
Did you measure the resistance for each sensor connector on the sensor electrical connector? Does that resistance match the resistance at across the proper pins at the ECU?

I am not so familiar with the 6th gen accords. Does the key immobilizer cut off fuel pump or just the fuel injectors? Does it also cut off spark?
It can't hurt to try another key, if the transponder in your original key is messed up.
The PCM is usually the last item that you would suspect to be the problem. If you decide to get a PCM, you will have to program the key(s) for a that new PCM.

I was looking at the wiring diagrams, and the only circuit i see for the immobilizer if for the fuel pump. I did try all three keys. and we do have fuel pump operation and good pressure. just no spark. Of coarse there may be a possibility that not all circuits were included in the diagrams. is there a way to bypass the immobilzer to test this circuit?

Its a possibilty. The immobilzer key light on the instruments panel was flashing on at the time the engine was choking out, (light on engine dead, light off engine continued to run). it did this about 3 times before it stopped running, and i had to pull over. hasnt run since. but the light operates normally now.
