Thanks redbull-1, I already had a couple of bulbs for the clock light from Radio Shack, so I replaced the blown one and it is functional again. I also took apart the spotllight/maplight assembly, based on a thread in which you listed the r$2 eplacement part for the switch, but it turned out both switches are good. The problem is that the screw mounts were all busted so pushing the button for the driver side spotlight moves the entire switch unit inside the assembly, rather than activating the switch. I could order a new part, but I'll probably just try to fix with adhesive instead.
And to confirm the fix for the original problems, it was a blown number 10 fuse. Once replaced all lights are functional.

You're welcome. The part about your daughter feeding the CD player made it more important for me to try to help resolve it. What she did is actually cute to me, as I heard other do this same thing before. I am sure she is a darling.
