Exclamation Passenger rear speaker plastic piece help!

2.5 years ago I installed aftermarket speakers in my '98 accord coupe and I am selling my car tomorrow to a lady so I am taking out my aftermarket speakers and putting the stock ones back in.

This is a very stupid question, but here is my problem, I got all the speakers back in fine but the passenger rear speaker cover has this plastic piece that had the seat belt in it at one time, which I had to remove to fit the speakers back there that I had. How do I thread the seat belt back through this plastic piece in order to screw the speaker cover back over the stock speaker? Pictures would be great too if you have any!

I think that you have one of two options, depending on how the seat belt mechanism is mounted.

You will either remove that bolt on that black bracket in the third picture. Lift up the bracket. Place the speaker cover down. Then bolt the black bracket down, so the belt goes over the speaker cover.

The other way is to remove the bottom part of the rear seat. Disconnect the bracket for the seal belt from behind the seat (you may not have to remove the seat to do this). Run the seat belt through the speaker cover, bolt the seat belt bracket down. The belt should be over the speaker cover.

I undid that bolt to get the black clip out that is holding the seat belt and now it locked up so I can't get any extra seat belt to loosen it up to get it bolted back. How do I get it to unlock so I can pull more of the seat belt back out of it??

There's a little pendulum-thingie inside the belt reel. Gotta hold it perfectly upright & still, then allow the belt to wind IN a little bit (1/4-inch?) THEN it should pull out as long as you're holding it upright.

warning - engineering-geek information to follow ;P
That pendulum thing is in there so that during a collision it locks the belt to hold you in place. If the belt could easily un-wind, what's the point of having the belt?

What am I supposed to do it it already sucked in to much of the belt that it won't suck in anymore? Haha, I'm freaking out here, I usually figure these things out by myself but this one has just been a pain!

Unbolt it again so you have more slack.

Nvm, I finally got it, but the part that bolts under the plastic piece wouldn't fit through the whole on the plastic piece so I ended up having to unbolt the other end of the seat belt to get it through. Thanks so much for everyone's help I GREATLY appreciate it!!!
