Please help-96 Accord EX 2 Door-power window replacement
So I bought power window/regulator's for my 96 Honda Accord EX from 1AAuto. The parts just came the other day, and they look great. I watched their video on how to replace the parts, and the problem is the video's for a 4 door.
I followed the video through to the end, and was actually able to install the new parts in working order-EXCEPT-the window STRUGGLES MIGHTILY to go up and down. In fact, it will hardly go all the way up. So I thought it may be in crooked, and straightened in out to better effect. It still struggles and won't go up the whole way, but now the window is clearly straight and aligned properly.
The screws that go into the brackets holding the window in place (the ones that came with the car factory) don't seem to fit the whole way through 1AAuto's replacement bracket's. It also seems to be just slightly off as far as alignment, like when I straighten the window completely and it slides easily by using my hands, then try to adjust and line up the brackets and am unable to get it perfect.
I was thinking of altering the holes where the bolts go to help line things up properly. Is that a mistake? I'm going to go back tomorrow and start from step 1, but any help would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.
