Default Please help with possible engine issue

I had posted last week and had not gotten a chance to have the countershaft speed sensor fixed due to surgery but today there was a new issue. Will start from the beginnning.

1994 Accord EX auto 2.2L 195K miles.
Driving great despite the D4 flashing Code 9. Was going to get that taken care of tomorrow.
This evening, driving home in the rain at 30 mph, went to hit the brakes and it was like I did not have power brakes and the engine felt like it went into first gear. No warning lights came on. Still had headlights, radio etc.

I pulled over safely and turned the car off. Started right up, but still with the brake issue and when I took my foot off the accelerator, it sounded like it was revving high but in first gear.

Pulled over at a grocery store. Turned the car off for 15 minutes. Started right up and is driving perfectly with none of the earlier issues, still with the D4 light (CSSS) flashing and no other warning lights on.

Bought the car 2 weeks ago. New tranney in Mar 2010.
Does this new issue sound like it's related to the CSSS or does it sound like something else?

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
Nancy

The brake system is unrelated to the transmission problem. Your problem sounds like a hydraulic fault with the brake master cylinder. Fist, check the fluid level. If you are low on fluid, try to find the leak.

A leaking vacuum brake booster might also be a possiblity. Check vacuum supply to brake booster, check valve, for function and security. Get those brakes fixed soon!

good luck
