Okay, I previously was looking at the models sold in Asian countries.

Based on the general area for your IP address and looking at the site, it looks like your car was sold in the following countries and has the VIN range as shown:

Country/Area:
ALGERIA, ARGENTINA, BAHRAIN, COSTA RICA, CRETE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, GABON, GUATEMALA, IVORY COAST, JORDAN, LEBANON, NEW CALEDONIA, PARAGUAY, QATAR, SAUDI ARABIA, SENEGAL, TAHITI, UAE - (KY)

Chassis number range: JHMCF964*XCXC400001-XC999999

Your Accord doesn't come with an EGR valve, it came originally with the block-off plate. An EGR valve isn't listed as available for your country/area Accords.

Looking at that website, using those VINs, it shows both upstream and downstream O2 sensors in the parts diagrams but, like the EGR block off plate, neither are listed in the accompanying parts listings.

I had to cheat to look up the OP's country/area based on OP's IP address. Hint: It's not in Asia.

Yes an old O2 can get lazy and cause a loss in MPG - without setting a code.
