plzzz help!!
i went out to get my car out of the garage and go to the store near my house and i got in and tried to start it and i got all the normal lights and stuff like always but as soon as i turn the key further to start it i loose all lights on the gauge cluster and the light around the key is off. i turn the key back and try it again and all my lights are back, when i turn the key to step "2" i loose all lights again. i cannot get the car to start or crank or do anything for that matter. i have lights and everything on step 1 and nothing on step 2. there is a light that flashes when the key is in step 2 and it is the "security" light on the console near the climate control switches.
i do have an alarm system on it from the factory(not aftermarket)
is my problem a relay?
or switch?
fuse?
i really dont know what to do so any help or suggestions would be great.

chk the battery + cable,, make sure battery is fully charged and cables are tight and clean...if all ok. i would look at a possible ignit switch or alarm issue ,,,,,,,
i am more for an alarm issue ...

My 1995 had a red led on top of the steering column that flashed from the factory. I find it hard to believe a battery would just die like that if it was driven fine for a few miles with no issues. At the very least, it would have a little juice and make the relays click like crazy.

i have found out that when this car was bought from the dealership it was a custom order....they wanted an alarm system on it. is there anyway to disconnect the alarm system without affecting anything else? yes the red light is flashing near the ac switches.
