Pop Rocks crackling sound from the dash???
#11
I came up with the same part number so either we are both correct or both wrong
As far as the replacement - to me the hardest thing is going to be getting down in the area to even get you hands on the thing.
I've never done this so I can only read the manual I have and give advise from that.
There is a "side" panel that is said to have to come off ??? I'd get down there and see if I could get to the motor without doing that. From there it is pretty simple. Remove the electrical connector and ~3 screws - in the pic from RB you can see two of the three, the third is hidden by the text box in the lower right.
When you go back with the motor, be sure the "pin" on the motor slips into the linkage/lever - once the motor is off you will see the linkage.
As I said, I've never personally done this on that gen Accord so that is the best I can do sitting here in my chair

SUCCESS!!!! No more pop rocks sound and the temperature on both sides is the same. Thanks a lot poorman212 and red red bull! You guys were exactly correct with both your diagnosis and installation help. It wasn't too bad installing it. There was plenty of room to get a 1/4" drive with a socket to get it off with the three screw/bolts. My arms were a little long but it really wasn't that hard. I think this should solve everything.
Had a quote from a shop to replace this motor for $180.00. Did it myself for $37.64 everything.
Thanks all!!
Got to love this website!
